Approved: Bloc presents Model 500
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 8 March 2013
Following the spectacular failure of last year’s Bloc festival in London, founders Alex Benson and George Hull have dusted themselves off and are back this year with a series of ten London clubnights in an exclusive “secret” venue in Hackney Wick, the first of which takes place tomorrow.
Kicking off the decathalon this Saturday will be a true techno master – the original Detroit hard hitter, Juan Atkins – first DJing and then performing a live set under his rather tasty Model 500 moniker, a special appearance for this side of the pond. Atkins will be joined by Tortured Records boss Billy Nasty, Rebel Intelligence and Joe Hart, as well as Hotflush’s latest signing: South London Ordnance.
Saturday 9 Mar, venue tba, 10pm – 6am, £20 or limited £10 tickets are available using the discount code listed here.
