Jerome Sydenham

Right, hope you’re all refreshed after last weekend’s Carnival action (you did all go to Carnival, right?) and ready for another round of partying. Well, that’s good to hear, because I have twelve hours of house for you this Saturday at Egg’s Bodymove night.

Headlining is Jerome Sydenham, one time Atlantic Records A&R man, who worked with the likes of En Vogue and Ten City, and who then set up the brilliant Ibadan label with Kerri Chandler. He’s in high demand at the moment, and you always know you’re going to get a proper house set from him.

Also on the bill are Ibiza resident Willie Graff, who has been immersed in the island’s house music culture since the tender age of thirteen and has picked up a thing or two (quite a few more than that, actually) about it since then, and Nathan Coles, co-founder of Wiggle, the club night which was in part responsible for the development of tech house.

Saturday 1 Sep, Egg, 200 York Way, London, N7 9AX, £13 – £20, 11pm – 11am, more info from www.egglondon.net
