Glass Candy/Desire associate Johnny Jewel – a pretty polyamorous presence on the Montreal scene – has just shared the video for his other band Chromatics’ track ‘Looking For Love’. It’s set to feature on ‘After Dark II’, the sequel to a compilation released in 2007 by his label, Italians Do It Better. That’s been promised for release this month, and Chromatics will live-promote it (and their new artist LP ‘Kill For Love’) at London’s Heaven on 6 Nov.
A five minute edit of what’s whispered to be a triple-length ‘I Feel Love’/‘Why’-style odyssey, the lux, curvaceous synths Jewel studs into ‘Looking For Love’ accessorise scenes of the band soundtracking a just-as-chiffony Chanel catwalk show at this year’s Paris Fashion Week. And what a beautiful match it is.
