Approved: Dum Dum Girls

Swoonsome garage-rock sect Dum Dum Girls are to release their sophomore record ‘Only In Dreams’, the successor to last year’s marvellous debut ‘I Will Be’, on 26 Sep through Sub Pop.
And to spark some debate around the new LP, the band are serving up a free copy of ‘Coming Down’, a dark, crashing wave of a track that’s all quavering guitars, fraught desires, and head Girl Dee Dee’s keystone lead vocal. She says this of the track: “I won’t lie; it’s heart on sleeve. Things can be so awful but at least they can also be bliss. Hope you listen to the song and feel something”.
The band will be over in the UK in November for five live shows around the country, finishing up with a gig at ULU in London. So, let’s all go and download the brilliant ‘Coming Down’ in celebration.
