Approved: Joey Negro And The Sunburst Band at The Jazz Cafe
By Paul Vig | Published on Friday 17 August 2012
With well over 20 years in the business, Z Records label boss Dave Lee, aka Joey Negro, is yet again going live with his Sunburst Band at NW1’s Jazz Café, for the launch party of their latest album.
This highly underrated trendsetter of the international dance music scene also records as Sessomato, Jakkata and Akabu, amongst others, and is possibly the creator of the entire disco house genre. But tonight his pet live project will be spanning boogie, disco, funk and jazz. They will be performing tracks from their just released fourth studio album ‘The Secret Life Of Us’ along with some Sunburst classics such as ‘Everyday’ and ‘Rough Times’.
Negro will also start the night off with a special two hour DJ set from doors at 7pm, so be sure to arrive bang on the dot.
Fri 17 Aug, Jazz Cafe, 5 The Parkway, Camden, NW1, 7pm – late, £18.50, more info via this link.
