Approved: Joker

Joker

Dubstep producer Joker announced his forthcoming debut album, ‘The Vision’, earlier this year with ‘Here Come The Lights’, a collaboration with Danish band Turboweekend’s Silas Bjerregaard, which will be released as a single next week. But the latest track from the album to hit the internet features collaborators from closer to home. Around the corner, in fact, all of them hailing, like Joker, from Bristol.

The video for ‘Back In The Days’, which you can watch below, sees rappers MCs Buggsy, Shadz, Scarz and Double (KHK-SP) turfed out onto the streets for making too much noise. There they take it in turns to make their contributions to what is one of Joker’s less hard-edged tracks. Though don’t confuse that with it having no edge at all, you’d still cut yourself if you were to fall on it.

Hopefully they’ll be convinced to recreate the track live on Joker’s UK tour later this year, dates for which you can find here.
