Approved: Kerri Chandler at Sankeys

Kerri Chandler

The tip has been a little London-centric of late, so here’s a good reason to get outside the M25, as the US deep house DJ guru Kerri ‘Kaoz’ Chandler takes over one of the North’s best clubs – Sankeys in Manchester. He will be playing a whopping seven hour set too.

Kerri has been on the circuit now for two decades and is a purveyor of true soulful house, and his production skills are solid. His infectious ‘Bar-A-Thym’ cut from 2005 is awesome and just check any of his work out, but particularly his ‘Trionosphere’ mixes. Chandler was named Deep House DJ of 2011 at the DJ Awards in Pacha, Ibiza last year, topping Ben Watt, Charles Webster, Jimpster, Kaskade, Francois Kervorkian and Claude Van Stroke.

Continue will also be down, with special guest Lone. So expect a mash up of future garage and tech, with Russian techno starlet Dasha, Rush and Sankeys resident Jozef K also on the bill.

Saturday 21 Jan, Sankeys, Beehive Mill, Radium Street, Manchester, M4 6AY, 11pm-6am, £12 adv, more on the door, more info here.
