Approved: US Girls – Overtime

First/last approved in late 2012, US Girls – aka Megan Remy – today merits a re-play via new track ‘Overtime’, which previews an EP titled ‘Free Advice Column’ she’s releasing next week.
Treading the same strange margins as my main highlight of her last LP ‘Gem’ – ‘North On 45’ – ‘Overtime’ is ultra-drive girl pop gone gaga (with a small ‘g’), snip and pasting Remy’s shrill Shangri La-isms, the ghostly chinking of a far-off piano and, stashed right at the back, a trashcan piano rattle.
