Bestival to broadcast live on YouTube

This year’s Bestival, which kicks off on Friday, will be broadcast live on YouTube, it has been announced. The Isle Of Wight-based festival has announced a partnership with production company Whizz Kid, which was responsible for U2’s live YouTube webcast from Pasadena way back in 2009.
Bestival head honcho Rob da Bank told CMU: “I’ve been watching festivals such as Coachella and Tomorrowland on YouTube and loving the futuristic new angle on showing festivals in a different light via a medium that nearly everyone in the music and festival worlds is tuned into. We’re really pleased that Bestival is the first UK festival to go down this route”.
