Beyonce’s lizard dress attracts PETA complaint

Loveable animal rights pedants PETA are displeased at the black ‘bodysuit’ Beyonce chose to wear at her Super Bowl half time show last weekend. Apparently, it was made of leather, python and – says the New York Daily News – “panelled iguana”, so I guess it was never going to gratify PETA’s distaste for the killing and skinning of rare lizard creatures (and cows).
Says PETA, which was already ‘mad’ at Mrs Knowles-Carter over the mink coat she flaunted whilst miming at Barack Obama’s inauguration: “We would take a bet that if Beyonce watched our video exposés, she’d probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits or other animals who died painfully. Today’s fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyonce’s Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score”.
On that score, maybe, but not on any other. I mean, look.
