Carly Rae Jepsen sets release date for James Taylor-inspired LP
By CMU Editorial | Published on Thursday 9 August 2012
Ubiquitous ‘Call Me Maybe’ pop-ette Carly Rae Jepsen has at last given her debut LP a name and a release date, so now we can all sleep soundly at night. Bearing the flirtatious title ‘Kiss’, it’ll be available in most record shops and supermarkets as of 17 Sep.
Speaking via an official statement, the singer declares: “These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years. The record is pop. It’s inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna, and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!”
So, that’s nice. But just to clarify, this is James Taylor and this, Carly Rae Jepsen.
