Elbow release official BBC Olympics theme tune

Elbow have released their theme tune for the BBC’s Olympics coverage as a single. Entitled ‘First Steps’, it was recorded with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and NovaVox Gospel Choir and at least 20p of each download will be donated to Children in Need and Sport Relief.
As previously reported, the band were tasked last Novermber with recording a six minute track that will feature heavily on the BBC throughout the Games, akin to Gorillaz’s 2008 effort for the Beijing Olympics.
