MELTDOWN, Southbank Centre, London, 1-12 Aug: So, Meltdown’s 2012 curator Antony Hegarty has just announced an initial list of acts for his ‘Future Feminism’-themed edition of the festival. These include Marc Almond, Planningtorock, Buffy Sainte-Marie, CocoRosie, Joey Arias and cult NYC singer-songwriters Diamanda Galas and Laurie Anderson. Proceedings will also include a rare live sighting of Elizabeth Frazer, who will perform her first proper shows since departing the Cocteau Twins in 1998.
