Festival line-up update: iTunes Festival, Iceland Airwaves, Green Man and more

iTunes Festival

Firstly and FAO anyone wanting to know, V Festival MDs have stated via NME that they’re still expecting to see a Beady Eye set played at each of V’s twin 17-18 Aug weekenders, this in spite of the band’s guitarist Gem Archer recently sustaining a ‘severe head trauma’.

In today’s festival line-up updates at large, there are new additions to this year’s iTunes festival to gaze at, plus ultra-thrilling ‘I’m so glad to be playing/getting paid’ missives via two of today’s main adds, namely Avicii and Tinie Tempah.

First, Avicii: “I’m feeling super excited to be playing the iTunes Festival – really looking forward to being back in London after the great show at the Electric Daisy Carnival a couple of weeks ago”.

And now a slightly less excited (but still excited) Tinie: “I’m excited to be back at the iTunes Festival with a whole bunch of new music. It’s going to be crazy!”

Crazy. Speaking of, an insanely large plane-load of artists has landed atop the Iceland Airwaves bill, which, when skim-read, lists Jon Hopkins, Mac DeMarco, Mykki Blanco, Savages, Villagers and Sean Nicholas Savages as several of the names aligning with Airwaves A-listers like Kraftwerk, Björk, Yo La Tengo and Gold Panda.

With that, it’s over to details of the final changes made to Green Man, new features of this year’s Festival No 6, and a last-minute flurry of FLUU-like activity at Belfast’s Tennent’s Vital:
