Festival line-up update: Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen Of The Road, BangFace, Creamfields and more
By Aly Barchi | Published on Thursday 18 April 2013
Salutations, FLUU fans. Taking first place in today’s pre-additions intro is Mumford & Sons’ London-based Gentlemen Of The Road variant, The Summer Stampede. Other than its ragged-trousered hosts, guests trampling all over Queen Liz’s nice, clean Olympic Park will include Vampire Weekend, Haim and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.
M&S’ Ben Lovett sings the Stampede’s praises via NME: “We wanted to do something special, more than just another arena date. There were no arguments among us when it came to throwing the line-up together – all the acts are ones we feel really strongly about and always have on in the dressing room and so it was a no-brainer. It’s going to be a wild night”.
Yeah… wild, man. And now, since we’re all going wild as it is, please read on for details of other wild festival nights to be had at attractively-titled Newquay rave-up BangFace, Spain’s Depeche Mode, KOL and Green Day-headlined Bilbao BBK, pastoral dance-do Creamfields, started-in-a-back-garden DIY-athon LeeFest, and Poland’s My Bloody Valentine, Deerhunter and Godspeed You! Black Emperor-starring OFF Festival, as has named The Smashing Pumpkins amidst its latest patch of artist add-ons.
