Freddie Mercury's Angry Bird

After Green Day were turned into villainous green pigs for their own edition of the Angry Birds videogame, Freddie Mercury has now become one of the gaming franchise’s heroes for a new video promoting this year’s Freddie For A Day event, which takes place on Freddie’s birthday, 5 Sep.

Freddie For A Day, of course, is the annual event staged by The Mercury Phoenix Trust, the AIDS awareness charity set up by the remaining members of Queen following Mercury’s death in 1991. People are encouraged to raise money for the charity by dressing up Mercury-style for a day.

Which possibly means that the Mercury-like bird in this video is just dressed as Freddie. Decide for yourself by watching the video below. More on this year’s Freddie For A Day festivities here.
