Fuck Buttons bare LP details
By Aly Barchi | Published on Friday 17 May 2013
The world’s most explicit buttons, that’s ‘noise’ abstractionists Fuck Buttons, have unfastened the basic info on their new LP, ‘Slow Focus’. Released via ATP Recordings on 22 Jul, it’s the band’s first long player to have been made at their Space Mountain Studio, and follows 2009’s ‘Tarot Sport’.
But what on/off earth is that title meant to mean? FB’s Benjamin John Power explains all (well, a bit): “‘Slow Focus’ seemed like a very apt title when considering the sentiment of the music. It almost feels like the moment your eyes take to readjust when waking, and realising you’re in a very unusual and not a particularly welcoming place. We like to think that we create our own new landscapes, and with this it’s a very alien one”.
And here is a very alien tracklisting:
Brainfreeze
Year Of The Dog
The Red Wing
Sentients
Prince’s Prize
Stalker
