Fueled By Ramen GM to head up Roadrunner too
By CMU Editorial | Published on Friday 16 November 2012
Following the departure this week of Jonas Nachsin as President of Warner’s Roadrunner division, the major has put the metal label under Mike Easterlin, who was also recently put in charge of another of the major’s imprints, Fueled By Ramen.
Easterlin’s background at the major is actually within Roadrunner though, where he has worked as Head Of Promotions.
It is thought that moving forward Fueled By Ramen and Roadrunner will sit side by side within Warner under Easterlin, who has the job title GM for both labels, though each will have their own A&R and marketing teams. That said, Nachsin’s departure was accompanied by nine back office redundancies at Roadrunner, according to Billboard.
As previously reported, Nachsin’s departure from Roadrunner follows the exiting earlier this year of founder Cees Wessels and a downsizing of the imprint’s non-US operations.
