Gallagher not impressed with lady popstars, Sandé responds

Praise the Lord for Noel Gallagher, always on hand to help fill the ‘and finally’ slot on a busy Monday morning with a nice simple diss story. Lady popstars were the target in the one time Oasis man’s latest chat to The Sun, in which he took aim at Paloma Faith – “do me a favour – who fucking decided she’s a star?” – and the 2012 phenomenon that was Emeli Sandé – “she’s making fucking music for grannies”.
Gallagher went on to bemoan requests by unnamed popstars to have him help them write some songs, clearly of the opinion said stars should write their own material. He went on: “I must have been asked to write songs for people about 20 times. ‘Hey man – we should write some songs together’. Fucking write your own songs. I spent 46 years busting my arse to get here, slaving over a line in a song for a month. So no, I won’t write a song with you, you little prick”.
So, that’s popstars everywhere told. Sandé chose to respond to the latest round of entertaining Gallagher ranting with an equally entertaining (if more concise) Twitter response.
