Girls Aloud talk anniversary single, LP, arena tour

Girls Aloud

You’ll probably be aware of all this by now, ‘it’ having been decreed via a glamorous press conference on Friday, but I’m going to say it anyway: Girls Aloud are back. Not hinting, nor counting down, nor teasing about being back, but 100% back. Yes, back. Back.

For Kimberley, Cheryl, Nicola, Sarah and Nadine, being back equates – as anticipated – to the official 18 Nov release of the band’s first single since 2009, ‘Something New’, a headline arena tour in 2013, and – on 26 Nov – a tenth anniversary greatest hits LP entitled ‘Ten’. Adverse to the ‘ten’-themed campaign, the collection will comprise eighteen tracks chosen by the Girls, which are as follows:

Something New
The Promise’
The Loving Kind
Untouchable
Sexy! No No No…
Call The Shots
Can’t Speak French
Something Kinda Ooooh
Biology
The Show
Love Machine
I’ll Stand By You
Jump
No Good Advice
Sound Of The Underground
On The Metro
Beautiful ‘Cause You Love Me’
Every Now And Then

Deluxe ‘Ten’ editions will also feature a bonus disc of less-obvious demos, B-sides and alternative singles. Fans voted for their favourites over the weekend, and the winning bonus disc tracklisting will be revealed one-by-one from today onwards via www.girlsaloud.com/ten
