By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 19 August 2013
Forbes has released its list of this year’s top ‘Electronic Cash Kings’, aka its World’s Highest Paid DJs rankings. Calvin Harris leads the EDM pack with annual earnings of $46 million, whilst 2012’s winner Tiësto trails with a dismal $32 million.
Speaking to Forbes, Harris says: “The rise of dance music has been astronomical in the last three years. I happened to be in the right place at the right time”.
Anyway, this is the top ten in all its ludicrous glory:
1 Calvin Harris – £30m
2 Tiesto – £20m
3 David Guetta – £19m
4 Swedish House Mafia – £16m
5 Deadmau5 – £13.5m
6 Avicii – £12m
7 Afrojack – £11.5m
8 Armin van Buuren – £11m
9 Kaskade – £10m
10 Skrillex – £10m
