Katy Perry’s LP two quarters done
By Aly Barchi | Published on Monday 22 April 2013
Katy Perry has revealed a bit about the new LP she’s making in the wake of 2010’s ‘Teenage Dream’. Apparently, it’s half-finished, and features ideas by pop names (and ‘Teenage Dream’ team) Bonnie McKee, Dr Luke and Max Martin plus songwriter-to-the-stars Greg Kurstin and jazz-pop artiste/creative Sia. So far, so predictable.
Fans mayn’t get to hear it any time soon, mind, because KP is taking her time over it all. Chatting at ASCAP’s I Create Music Expo last week, she said: “When I put myself on a timeline, when I tell the record company when I want to release the album, that’s when the race starts. That’s when I put pressure on myself”.
