Nissan team up with Ministry for car-contained sound system

Nissan have teamed up with Ministry Of Sound to put a flipping massive sound system in the back of a car, which will be toured around Europe over the summer. The Juke Box, as it’s called, was debuted at the Le Mans race in France last week.
The sound system has been created by Martin Audio, who also designed and built the current system in Ministry’s Box venue, and is a self-powered 19 kilowatt rig that is louder than a jumbo jet taking off when played at full volume (I do hope the marketing partnership includes the distribution of complimentary ear plugs to DJs and other visitors). The car also has recording kit inside it, enabling Ministry to record music played through it while on tour, and to make that content available via the clubbing brand’s various online media.
Commenting on the Juke Box, and his firm’s partnership with Ministry, Nissan marketing man Gareth Dunsmore told reporters: “We have made a great product that we believe creates excitement through our innovative approach to the small car market; Ministry of Sound is the industry leader in creating the moments people live for through their bespoke sound systems. Together with Nissan Design Europe, RML and Ministry of Sound we wanted to challenge the establishment and make something truly unique”.
