Paparazzo dies in traffic accident while trying to snap Bieber
By Chris Cooke | Published on Wednesday 2 January 2013
An American paparazzo has died after being hit by a vehicle as he photographed another car that be believed was carrying Justin Bieber.
According to reports, the unnamed LA-based photographer died yesterday evening. He was hit by a moving vehicle after taking photos of a white Ferrari that belongs to Bieber, but which was being driven by a different person at the time. It’s thought that Bieber’s car had stopped at a junction, and the photographer tried to snap its passengers as he crossed the road.
Commenting on the accident, Bieber said in a statement: “While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim. Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves”.
