Steps reform for telly show

Steps

Steps are going to reform, because that’s clearly what the world needs just right now. Though before you get too excited, they are only reforming, initially at least, for a three-part TV show due to air on what we now must call Sky Living.

The telly show will look back to those happy, happy days when any old shit could sell fifteen million records. There is, however, talk of a one off charity reunion gig.

Of course, since the Pete Waterman-created covers band sensation split in 2001 all five members of the group have continued to, erm, well, continued. I mean, they’re not dead, are they? Well, unless I missed some really big news story and this Sky show is another one of those live pop séances.

Retarded article. Does the world need Lady Gaga appearing from an egg? Does the world need Rhianna flashing her fanny all over the TV? Does the world need any of the things that happen in the music biz? Get a grip. It was trendy to bash Steps back in the day, can we see some progression please?!?!?

    This article is ridiculous.
We really didn’t need a judgemental, failed attempt at humour to tell us about the reunion. Yes they were ‘cheesy’, and they may not have had songs about in-depth topics, but they were fun, and they made people happy with their catchy songs. Maybe that is what the world needs right now.
And to the author, if “any old shit could sell fifteen million records”, I would like to see your 5 times platinum debut album before I value your opinion in any way.
To answer your question, no, they’re not dead, and they still have a bigger fan base than you could ever hope to have. Just report the news please and stop injecting your bitter opinions.

Actually, Steps’ debut album has gone eight times platinum in the UK.

        Even better.
        Beat that.
        :]

Of course, by that logic, you aren’t allowed to enjoy it until you’ve also sold that many records. I’ll race you!

Steps were fun, gorgeous and just we we need !! Yeh …bring them back !! thats what I say. I loved them as millions of others did and was gutted when they split. If you dont like them …. then just dont watch them !! easy x

I agree with these comments. Steps were cheesy, but they wholly embraced it. Would this idiot rather people emulated the ‘credible’ Amy Winehouse and shoot up before breakfast everyday?? Steps were good honest fun with some seriously well written songs. Abba of the 90′s. Deal with it.
