The Big Pink reveal album details, stream new track

The Big Pink

The Big Pink have announced full details of their second album, ‘Future This’, which will be released by 4AD on 16 Jan. The record was recorded with Paul Epworth, who produced ‘Dominos’ on their debut album, ‘A Brief History Of Love’.

Having heard the new album, we can confirm that it is very good. Though you should have an inkling that this is the case already, assuming you’ve heard forthcoming single ‘Hit The Ground Running (Superman)’ (which you can hear below), and the first track to be released from the album, ‘Stay Gold’. As a whole, ‘Future This’ sees the band developing their sound in new and pleasing directions.

The band have also just announced a new set of live shows, including a low-key gig next month at The Shacklewell Arms in Dalston.

Tour dates:

24 Nov: London, Brixton Academy (Supporting Friendly Fires)
5 Dec: Manchester, Apollo (Xfm Winter Wonderland)
9 Dec: London, Shacklewell Arms
8 Feb: Bristol, Thekla
9 Feb: Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
11 Feb: Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
12 Feb: Liverpool, Academy
14 Feb: Glasgow, King Tut’s
15 Feb: Manchester, Academy 3
16 Feb: Birmingham, Institute Library
